Peer Review Process
- Manuscripts should be submitted exclusively through our online submission system. Initially, the editorial team at JCMR will assess submissions. Manuscripts lacking in novelty, originality, or containing excessive plagiarism will be rejected without undergoing external review.
- Manuscripts deemed of sufficient priority for publication by the editorial office but not formatted according to the journal’s guidelines will be returned to the authors for correction. Authors are strongly encouraged to adhere strictly to the provided formatting guidelines.
- Manuscripts that meet both the priority and formatting criteria will be assigned to an Editor, and authors will receive a reference number for tracking their submission.
- Once past the initial screening, the manuscript is assigned to at least two independent reviewers selected based on their expertise and specialization for a thorough scientific evaluation. A double-blind review process is employed, ensuring that both the author and reviewers remain anonymous, which helps eliminate bias. Authors are welcome to suggest at least three potential reviewers, provided they are not from the same institution and have not collaborated previously. However, the final selection of reviewers is at the discretion of the editors.
- The review process typically takes about 15-30 days.
- Authors are expected to return revised manuscripts within 14 days for minor revisions or 30 days for major revisions following the editorial decision. If additional time is needed, authors may request an extension from the editor.
- Manuscripts will be accepted for publication upon receiving favorable reviews from both the reviewers and editors. Accepted papers will proceed to the production stage. If a manuscript is rejected or requires further revision, the editor will provide constructive feedback from the reviewers to assist the author in improving the submission. Reviewers will also be notified of the outcome of their evaluation.
- During the production phase, proofs will be sent to the corresponding author. The author will need to check the typesetting and make any necessary corrections to the text, tables, and figures.
- Revised proofs must be returned to the journal within one week.
